I just bought a Orion H2 12" subwoofer dual 4 ohm 2000 watts. I would resembling to know what amp/amp brand I can buy to match it up next to my sub. I only hold about $300.00 to pay envelope for an amp so that is what I hold to work with. What is the best amp to meeting up the best with my amp for smaller quantity than 300. Please HELP! thanks
Answers: I enjoy been running Hifonics for relatively a while now. The Brutus amps are great. If you are planning to run simply one H2 sub w/ that amp, you are going to be giving it only 1350 watts. The amp won't do it's 1 ohm rating unless you hold 2 of the H2's w 4 ohm dvc or 1 H2 w/ a 2 ohm dvc. I am running a BXi1606d to 2 12" dvc 4 ohm TC9's so the amp sees 1 ohm. No problems what-so-ever surrounded by over a year. The power you will getting w/ the 2000 watter will be plenty for that sub. Hope this helps.
P.S. I enjoy been running my CEA compliant Hifonics amp at 1 ohm 1600 watts RMS w/ a completely stock electrical system on a factory '88 Acura Integra w/ no problems. 65 amp alt. stock Autozone red top mobile. The only piece you may need to upgrade would be the "Big 3". But that solitary depends on your stock alt. Also, The Alpine, while a good amp, Can solely produce 1000 watts at 14.4 volts, which is not likely on most cars electrical. You are discussion about an 80 amp fuse x 12 volts. Which to me say 960 watts max, not RMS. My 1606D Hifonics has 2x80 amp fuses. You do the math.
seize a kicker mono channel amp...possibly the best amps in attendance are ..thats if that 2,000 watt sub can handle one haha
