Need radio code?

Battery went down, took out to recharge, Never knew I needed a code for my radio. I hold a 2002 Eclipse GT, radio ser.# 18178026C. I heard the dealership will charge a fee to retrieve. After I remunerated for the car? Instead of me being on the word for some BS, can someone help me get my four digit code. Ive notice they have web sites that will impart them to you, but I refuse to pay for some possibly stuff. Help me keep my New Year peaceful, even if you know a website that will grant the code for free. Thanks!
Oh! The first one to respond with an answer that gets it playing again. I will hold a gift in store for you. Prefer to administer to people that give, instead of population that take(dealerships).

You should have your code near the manual on the car. A credit card sized plastic card. If not you should emergency one from where you bought car.

You are going to have to remove the stereo and write down the model # and serial # from the flipside of it.

Now, reinstall the stereo and call your local Mitsubishi dealer. Ask the guys contained by the service department real nice and they may not charge you for it.
