Which would be a better resistance to use for Deep Bass?
1ohm or 4ohms
I am using an Alpine head unit, Rockford Fosgate p8002, and 2 Rockford Fosgate 10" P3 dvc's. I will be bridging the subs.
4 ohms, because after your amp wont shut off every 30 seconds. Resistance matter for nothing, other than the amount of perkiness your amplifier wants to put out.
MDC had a typo.
"It is better to use a greater impedance (4 ohms). This is because with a higher impedance the amp will create smaller amount distortion and heat. This will mean the amp will nouns better and last longer then an amp running at 1 ohms."
1 ohm will strain the amp too much is what he's trying to influence.

Those 2 guys sure know their stuff...higher ohms=less heat and smaller quantity distortion=longer life for your amp.
Answers: It is better to use a highly developed impedance (4 ohms). This is because with a higher impedance the amp will create smaller number distortion and heat. This will mean the amp will nouns better and last longer then an amp running at 4 ohms.
It does not situation to the subs what the impedance is but only the running of the amp.
