My care doesn't hold a remote turn-on lead for me to connect the amp turn-on front to, where's the next best place to connect it to as i want the amp to come on/off near the engine?
Would a cigarette lighter provide enough power to run the amp & would i in recent times solder it to the positive wire?

Answers: try the ignition switch to the leader unit. that approach the amp comes on when you have the key in it and wont be going away your amp on to drain your batt.
that way, you solitary turn on your amp together with the radio when you switch your saloon on.
typically if it doesn't run to the head-unit, you connect it to the fuse for the radio. you just hold to find the fuse box and figure out which one is the radio, consequently you take the fuse out, put em together, and put the fuse rear legs in while they're connected and it should stay within there nice and tight and it will work the instrument it's SUPPOSED to work
