Running 2 ohm dvc sub 2 ohm stable?

i bought a kicker CVR 12. Dual voice coil 2ohm sub, 400watt RMS 800 peak. im hooking it up to a Kenwood 1000 watt class d monoblock (KAC-8103D). The amp runs at 300 watts RMS at 4 ohms and 500RMS at 2 ohms.I am confused on how to hook it up to get the best bass in need damaging the amp or sub. any advice would be greatly appreciated. I also enjoy a 1000 watt schose amp wiring kit. i would really approaching to run at 2 ohms, so i can have 500watts rms to my sub, but i dont know how to wire it, is that locked?

May it be true that if your...

Just get another sub...the exact same one.Wire each sub to 4 ohms.Follow electrics chart for this...then parallel both. This will give you a 2 ohm nouns http://www.rockford-fosgate.com/rftech/w... thats the only way to find a 2 ohm load Other than just using one set of voice coils BUT I wouldnt recommend this because respectively voice coil is probably 200 watts RMS(half of 400watts) and that would be too much power.Plus its not good to do that.Ive done it on Cheap subs before. It be a temporary thing.and 1 voice coil be blown or not working so in that situation,I go ahead and did it.

Which is more major xmax or watts?

1 sub? There is only one course to hook it up for your amp. The dual 2ohm voice coil can only be wired into a 4ohm configuration, or about a 1ohm configuration. (1ohm config is NOT stable and is NEVER recommended)
here is the exact track to wire it giving you a 4ohm load. If you want a 2 ohm nouns you'll have to buy another sub.

when u buy the sub from kicker it should already be wired up in 2ohms, cuz they also provide the same sub in 4ohm electrical system. The amp you are looking at will be fine, when you run the negative from the sub to them amp and the positive from the sub to the amp the amp will know that your sub is wired in 2ohms..you dont own to do anything to the amp, all the wiring happen at the sub unless you are running more than one sub then it gets more complicating than that.

so again dont do anything to the electric wiring of the sub just hook the sub up to the amp normally and it will be fine...simply dont run the sub at full blast for too long or the 100watts more than the sub can handle will start to do damage and you will blow the sub.
Sorry i DID misread the quiz.A single dvc 2ohm sub can only be wired to 1 or 4 ohm.Sparky is right. Thanks for notifying me sparker.Hope this help.

Name a mono amp at 1000 watts...

Answers:    Sami is wrong.

To get 2 ohm from a sub, it needs to be a 4 ohm DVC wired contained by parallel.

Your sub can only be wired for 1 ohm or 4 ohm.

4 ohm is recommended - http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j230/s...
