When your'e installing subs does it matter if the cord going to the radio, the RCA one, is touching the cord going from the battery-operated to the amp? Or do I need to put them on disparate sides of the car?
Answers: it's great that they run on opposite sides, but if this isn't possible for anything reason you can buy a ground loop isolator for something resembling 10 bucks, doing so will eliminate any whine or static sounds. and within fact you should buy one anyway since it's possible your rca's are picking interferance regaurdless of where on earth they're ran.
