Answers: i definitly think jl has the best feature but there are many other subs that are economically made. basically you get what you payment for. also you should get a custom box, there made to the exact manufacture specification. they sell generic ones but you wont get the most out of you sub.

well if your looking for SQ then i'd hold to say the best woofer for that is Boston Acoustics G5.
if your looking for SPL, consequently i'd have to say the best woofer for to be exact the Pioneer Premier TS-W8102SPL. its the current world record holder.

alpine type Xs... BOOM! The sub that keep blowing the others OUT OF THE WATER is the ORION HCCA 15". However, if you have to ask, I doubt you're ready for that. It's outdone the TOP JL AUDIO, KICKER, and others as seen on youtube. If you're on a budget, Kicker is always a polite idea. I personally would NEVER budge to a Best Buy, I would actually go to a flea marketplace. As long as they didn't buy the subs wholesale, you could blow them and take them back for unsullied ones.
