A 2 ohm DVC will be either 1 ohm or 4 ohm.

A 4 ohm DVC will be any 2 ohm or 8 ohm.

Ideally you want to match the watts RMS between amp and sub near the same ohm.

How you nouns an amp determines the amount of power out.

There is a trade off though, the lower the impedance (ohms) the more power is pushed as ably as higher distortion and more warmness is generated. The excessive roast will shorten the life of the amp.

For best overall carrying out, it's far better to get a difficult powered amp and load it next to 4 ohms than a lower powered amp and force it to push more power with a lower impedance (2 or smaller number ohms) load.
