I just get a 1990 mazda rx-7 and I want my music loud. So ya, what exactly do subwoofers do and what else would I need to craft my music loud?

Well i enjoy a malibu and i have 2 12" directed speakers. They are 400Watts respectively and i have a directed 800 watt amp. It pounds and merely will cost you around 300$ Just use a closed box, dont use a slotted box because they are not powerful enough. Use a small sheltered box. Make sure you don't turn the amp all the channel up either, possibly 1/2 way. after everything breaks surrounded by, then turn it up to 3/4
