ok, let me say that i dont know anything almost subs, how they work, why they work.. blah blah blah.
that being said, about 2 years ago my finace hooked one up within my car. i dont know what kind it is, i dont know what benevolent of amp i have. it worked for a little while, after stopped. he never fixed it no matter how much a bothered him. about a year then he said it was probably because he had built the box and we bought a indisputable sub box for it. it worked for a day, then stopped again. again, he never fixed it. end night i got really annoyed and pulled out his tools and go at it (probably not the smartest, but oh well). i know there is a ground (that kept coming up, and we thought that was the origional problem). i carefully fastened it (to where he had it origionally). later there are these 2 wires that split off (from somewhere within my car - lol) and plug into the amp, its like a left-right piece i think (like if i was looking at the tv speaker connections) ...
I think it's your rca connection inside your amp.http://www.icebuyer.co.uk/oxygen-free-rc... that's what they look resembling. Get the music playing and fiddle about near the two wires. If the bass goes on and off while your moving them, afterwards the rca wire needs replacing and you can buy it at halfords or any vehicle audio shop.If that doesn't resolve the problem then it could be the rca connectors behind your headunit that is to say faulty or the rca connectors on your amp(most likely).I suggest you get the amp looked at later.Your Power, ground or remote cables could also be loose.Tighten all the screw on your amp to see if any are loose. Also open your bonnet to see if the powerwire is securely connected to the freestyle.Hope this help
