I bought one of my kicker l7 4 months ago. I just get a new kicker sx1250.1 two days of have it all hooked up, I blew my sub.
Answers: The Kicker L7's are amazing subwoofers. You can pretty much double the rate RMS and still be safe near a good, verbs amp with no distortion.
You're conspicuously using too much gain and distorting the subs. Distortion = heat = blown.
That amp is rate at 1250 watts at 1 ohm load, so I doubt you own it wired incorrectly to blow the sub, as you'd probably blow the amp. But in any event, if you've get dual 2ohm voice coils, you can get your 1ohm nouns if you wire them contained by parallel.
Turn the amp gain all the style down. Turn your music all the style up by the headunit, including your highest bass settings. Turn the gain slowly up on the amp, and when you hear it start to distort, support it down a bit. Now you'll never have to verbs about distorting the subs.
Also be sure to consider what cage you're using. Sealed enclosures can touch a lot more power than ported enclosure.
well it depends on what size the sub it is a
8" is 900 height watts and 450 rms
10" is 1200 peak watts and 600 rms
12" is 1500 crest watts and 750 rms
15" is 2,000 peak watts and 1,000 rms
so base on what you have next go by that cuz the amp 1250 watts at 1 ohm so eighter you didnt enjoy the sub wired up right or you pushed it to much the subs if it is a 2ohm can be wired parallel and brought down to 1ohm a 4 to 2 so if you have a 4 thats why you blew it dont put the gain adjectives the way up stir half ways or at lowest 3/4 of the total gain so you wont end up blowing your subs again
I NEED HELP PLEASE I NEED HELP...
