I am about to buy 2 12" Kicker 05CVR12-4 subwoofers. They are 800W height power and 50-400W RMS. They are dual 4 ohm. I would like to use a kicker amp but im lost on what open-handed i need can anyone comfort me? thanx
Answers: You should get a 2-channel amp and run it at 4 ohms bridged. That is going to be the best amp choice for those subs. The other route you can wire it is by getting a monoblock amp and running it at 1 ohm. I don't recommend this because it is better to run your amp at a complex impedance. That means that running your amp at 4 ohms will be better later at 1 ohm because it will produce less distortion and steam then an amp running at 1 ohm. upright luck!!

You might just want to run two 800 or more watt amps.
