What speakers should I draw from for my 2004 4 door Silverado?

I just put a new stereo surrounded by my truck. I put a nice pioneer DEH-P690UB with 4x50W output. It also has 3 pairs of RCA preouts. I obligation speakers now I haven't a clue on what to get. I know I don't want anything surrounded by a box. Right now I have 4 x 6.5" and 2 x 1" contained by the fornt. All are in the door and this is what I prefer to stay with.

I've be looking around and I see some are mid-bass and some are 2 or 3 way, some even come with the 1" speakers.

I'm not looking for anything to set of sports car alarms. I mostly listen to rock and alternative and I like to turn it up and rock out once in awhile, but unsurprisingly I don't want to spend too much. I might want to put more into it later.

Would you suggest using an amp or just staying beside the power I've got? If so, what size amp?

Should I use mid-bass in the hindmost and a 2 or 3 way up front or stay with same adjectives the way around?

I don't know the price reach you're in but component speakers are your best bet. Just hit up your local audio store and start asking questions. As far as an amp go, it depends on the speakers you end up with. Generally speaking though an amp that get about 50w-100w x 4 channels would be what to look for.

Only go by RMS.
Most deck range from 15-20RMS x4.
If you get higher-end speakers, you will stipulation to amplify them.
Look into Polk Audio, MB Quart, Boston Acoustics for speakers.

Any amp that matches the speakers RMS.
This amp will need to be channeled.

SUB give support to!!!?

First, I'd dance to www.crutchfield.com to see what fits without doing alot of cutting/drilling. Personally, I really like Pioneer & Boston Acoustics saloon speakers, but sound of speakers is a metter of personal taste. You want something beside a dome tweeter though, because they usually produce much clearer sound.

Answers:    It is important to follow your stereo. Look for a spec. listed as THD Total Harmonic Distortion. The better the system the lower this number will be. For my taste it would own to be less than .005 Amping anything higher would require a more powerful amp so you do not turn the volume above partially. Stereo signals distort above a certain volume setting and you do not want to amplify the distortion. That being said, and beside the belief you will not peak your volume power and keep it below partly, I would amp the signal with 100 watts of clean power and use speakers rate for 75 watts nominal. You will get a very dynamic nouns but you can destroy them if you crank it up to the max for too long. This will do more that trying to decide which apt speaker to get. Any reasonable mentioned will do okay.
