What the F*^K is wrong!?

Im running two rear speakers past its sell-by date my amp. Its hard to explain so im going to hold to walk through it. I am running my speaker cords from the headdeck to the amp. This is the one that give the volume from the headdeck to the amp and then I own speaker wires that run from the amp to the speakers.

The speaker CORDS (ones from headdeck to amp), for some reason solitary the positive bit is working. Now your supposed to put the RED bit in the "LEFT SPEAKER" bit and the BLACK bit surrounded by the "RIGHT SPEAKER" bit or whichever way you want.

Only the BLACK bit is working. When I put the RED bit contained by, I get nouns coming out but its not the music, its just an ongoing nouns of, well its sturdy to explain but its not really a sound of anything but you can still hear it.

Because of this I can with the sole purpose plug both my LEFT and my RIGHT speaker wires into the "RIGHT SPEAKER" channel so they are not getting ample power to each.

How am I supposed to take both the RED and the BLACK bit to work?

Amp keep going into protection mood why?

Answers:    Hey John

Take it apart again and do it all over again, this time use RCA jacks, from the stereo to the amp. Make sure the amp is grounded well brought-up and that all the electrical system is in the right places.
Is this a two conduit or four channel amp? do you hold a EQ in the mix? if you do engender sure it is not a powered EQ, that is one that already have some wattage coming from it, that will affect the way the amp works, it some times cancel out the amp.
Remember, the wiring on the amp; Black is ground, Red is power batt, Orange is ACC and blue is remote power, unless your amp comes next to all the hook ups it should be undemanding to hook up. then you should be capable of use both the right side channel and the not here side channel. Just do it again and build sure it is all appropriate and you should be alright .
Good luck....cya....

I'm cofused about your problem. Are you runing speaker wires, or RCA cable from your head element? It seems RCA's its prabaly a discouraging cable. If i need to exam a cable i like to bring out a untried source like a home stereo. If you plug the RCAs contained by to that and both sides work, than its the output on the head element. You may need to replace it. If it still does impossible to tell apart thing it may newly be the cable. Try a new cable. If it does like thing near the new cable, than its the inputs on the aplifier, and you will any have to hold them fixed or replace the amp. But since you are getting some sound near the cables connected, its probably the cable. Hope it help. Good Luck!
