ive other been more into mcintosh amps and klipsh woofers
if you like the kenwood next yeah stick with that
Alpine type R subs are very appropriate for the price. Also I should mention, the difference between one and two subs is only about 3 decibles at max volume. You would be better stale to get one better quality sub than two crap ones. As another entity metioned Kenwood amps are pretty good. I ran 2 type R subs near a Kenwood KAC7252 until the glue seperated between the cone and surround on one. I replaced both subs with Alpine type X, which are insane. If you want to stir big get type X, if you want to be sensible, get the Type R. (Alpine refund me for my destroyed sub--don't expect to have the same problem)

Ignore MAX watts.

Peak or MAX power is an arbitrary number with no physical standard of measurement.

RMS (Root Mean Square) is also the thermal limits given by the businessman as the continuous power a sub can handle before bomb. Ideally you don't want to exceed the RMS rating by more than 10%.

Look for CEA-2006 compliant amps.

Answers:    Kenwood make cheap junky subs, but decent amps, same with hiphonics.

If you want tangible stuff at a decent price, look into Rockford Fosgate and the Punch stage 1 set. Its discontinued but you can find good prices and they come near a pretty neat thump I tell you.

Also the Alpine Type-R is a great sub for a mid-range price.

Look into also Kicker, they own some great subs that don;t break the bank.
