Will a zx1500.1 blow a CVX 12"?

It's a 2ohm speaker and it will be wired at 4 ohms...so it will match the speaker's recommended rms next to 750. The reason i ask is a friend of mine have 1 cvx 12 hooked to a 1600w hifonics and has blown 3 of them. Thanks for any responses.

How do I connect an ipod to...

Answers:    what you hold to remember is that the amp puts out 750 watts rms at the rated distortion.... thats not the maximum RMS power it can put out.. anotherwords, if you turn it up to loud or hold the gains set incorrectly that amp could put out as much as 1300-1400 watts RMS, BUT near a increase in distortion.... so yes you could blow it... if truth be told very efficiently... but that amp is a good clash, because its power as you said at the rated power it is equal, just set the gain properly, and dont clip the amp and you'll be fine.. sounds like your friend get a little "knob nuts"

Hey yp_jimthecarguy, since you disagree, prove me...

manufacture sure your RMS power of your amp does not exceed the Continual power handling of your speaker . Then dont get gain crazy
