i have a 1000 rms system hooked up contained by my car and my alternator is 110 amp... will installing a capacitor abet with the dimming flimsy s or do i just have need of to get a unsullied alternator... or would the "big three" help?
Answers: A sunhat is only appropriate so far as the audio system isn't trying to pull too much from the electrical system. A bonnet doesn't provide more power, it's designed to 'stiffen' the voltage to the amp, nothing esle. If the current isn't here, a cap won't comfort. The alternator must have at most minuscule 20% more amperage power than the entire vehicle and sound system combined for a bonnet to be of benefit which is ironically the same requirements for an amp to be updated.
If your total system power is 1000 watts RMS or more, you will need to:
1. Upgrade the alternator to a giant output alternator
2. Upgrade to a heavy duty vast cycle battery
3. Upgrade the "Big 3" - that is to say to replace the power wire between the freestyle and alternator, the ground from the battery to the chassis and the ground strap from the engine/tranny to the chassis next to at least 1/0 AWG flex.
Failure to do this will result in you replacing them anyway as the alternator will eventually fall through.
Here is a guide that will calculate what size alternator and power wires you involve http://www.datafilehost.com/download.php...

a capacitor will help, but won't help out much, as it will prevent your system from drawing too much current from your battery, and will affect the nouns quality for your system. best is to obtain a bigger alternator.. or adding a extra freestyle..
As your system alone is drawing nearly 100amp, add your air-con and chief lights, its already exceed 110amp. your dimming light is moslty incentive by alternator can't charge the battery hasty enough
