Wiring DVC Sub Correctly?

I have a 10" Punch P2 4-Ohm DVC Subwoofer (250RMS, 500peak) running from a PHOENIX GOLD V754 (250 rms bridged). The sub is clipping pretty desperate when volume is up and then the amp will in actuality shut down. Obviously I need to adjust the SENS but they are merely half track.... something seems awry so I numeral I may have hooked things up wrong.

The DVC sub have diagrams to wire for different ohm's. My ask, what's the correct way to line for 4ohm to 4ohm? Since i'ts DVC (4Ohm each) do I just hold to connect one side and leave the other withdraw from?

Any other thoughts will be much appreciated.

Best Subwoofer for my dodge magnum?

Answers:    It's not recommended to run purely one coil. Since most bridged amp won't tolerate a 2 ohm load, you'll hold to wire it for 8 ohm and expect partially the power at a 4ohm load.

To prevent clipping, set the gain right.

The purpose of the gain is to game the signal volts RMS coming from the source (CD player, etc.) to the input of the amp.

Here is a guide that will help you set the gain correctly http://www.datafilehost.com/download.php...

You'll inevitability a multi-meter (AC voltmeter), Microsoft Excel and a way to burn an audio compact disc from an MP3.

If you don't have Excel, e-mail me and I'll convey you a condensed version sparky3489(a)YAH00.com

4 ohm DVC woofer can be wired at 2 and 8 ohms....when you bridge your amp its 4 ohms....
