As my Peugeot 306 was made in 1996 I upgraded the cassette radio to a Peugeot CD player radio and I replaced the front door speakers as the artistic ones were physical damaged.
Therefore, I am immediately wondering is it worth replacing the rear parcel shelf speakers, too, even though they are not damaged at adjectives and sound fine. lb40 or so will buy some aftermarket ones.
However, I would renew the rear speaker cone unit if anyone can tell me whether replacement speakers will definitely boost sound quality?

Yeah don't change the rears if they work ok. In some cases (very unusual though) oem speakers can outlast aftermarket ones through reasonable use. They can only seize damaged in one of 2 ways: physical plunder or damage through excessive power than the speakers can handle. If you do want to convert the rears anyway then you can as they may supply you much better sound than what you are getting now.

if your bored, do it! Most stores enjoy the speakers hooked up and ready to listen to before you buy. they do however hold them hooked up to an amp to make them sound better. consider buying an amp to power your up to date speakers, as well as your door speakers. with the right amp your nouns will be way better

Secondly, after 12 years of vibration and moisture, the paper cones will not be working at their best.
