i want to get my husband a satellite radio for Christmas & I want to hear opinion on which you like better. Please put in the picture me any pros/cons or any helpful info to breed a decision. He like talk radio & sports. I am tendency toward Sirius right now. We're contained by the Austin area, not sure if that help.
Answers: I like Sirius much more than XM. profoundly, if not adjectives of XM's stations are computer controlled, meaning someone programs the computer to play a solid set of songs throughout the day. You may here one set of songs soon, and the exact same set sometimes that same day somewhat later. Sirius however is DJ base, yeah some songs are still played sometimes multiple times throughout the day lone because certain DJ's may close to that song but nothing to the extent of XM.
If you're surrounded by to sports, Sirius is the way to stir by far. It has adjectives the major sporting events except for baseball...which XM have. On the other hand, I consider XM has more address stations than sirius. But siius has Howard Stern.
Im more of a music follower, rather than sports. And although XM does contained by fact hold more music stations, I have Sirius. Im so far particularly pleased with Sirius because of the certainty that they have a better rotation of songs due to the DJ's.
As far as where on earth you live, that's not going to make that much of a difference. The solitary thing that will affect reception is if there's deeply of overhead obstructions(bridges, tunnels, etc.).
Keep in mind that both are planning to merge to form one service, you may want to linger for that. If you do decide to progress ahead and choose one if the two, that's fine as well because XM and Sirius still plan to operate independately.
