Answers: if its a speed sensor it will make the speedometer appendage jump up and down and repeatedly not register the speed,sometimes the vehicle will be going before it starts to register anything at adjectives,and sometimes while running along about 35-50 miles per hour it will only drop the hand to 0 those are some of the symptoms of a bleak speed sensor,good luck on it,and own a good untried year.

With the additional info, sounds approaching it is probably a wheel speed sensor (also referred to as an ABS sensor), and not an input/output speed sensor. There is one sensor within the rear axle housing, and one on respectively front wheel.
First item to do is a visual inspection. Check the wires and get sure they're not pulled out, unplugged, or wires cut or broken. Also, check to make sure near isn't anything that might block the magnetic signal between the front sensors and the tone rings (bracket bent, etc).
If ocular inspection looks good, the singular way to know for sure what's wrong is to hold the ABS system checked out, it will tell you what's wrong, and which sensor is doomed to failure if it's a sensor problem.
