can anyone give a hand

Chrystler neon?

Sounds like something is wrong. I don't buy what fx4truck have to say. My mileage does not fluctuate that heavily from winter to summer. And we budge from almost 100° in the summer to -20° within the winter at times. So I don't buy that explanation. Also, engines are more efficient when burning cooler nouns. That's the idea aft a cold air intake. Cold nouns is less dense, thus you're bringing within more air mass near every stroke. That's the reason car's near turbo chargers have more power. They are pushing more nouns into the combustion chamber. I think you should hold it checked out and ask what other people near escapes get for gas mileage.

He also say that gas companies put more alcohol in the gas surrounded by the winter. That's also bs. If you buy regular unleaded there is no alcohol within the fuel. Only when you burn ethanol will there be alcohol contained by the gas. And they specify that the fuel is no more than 10% alcohol. There isn't that large of a fluctuation within the percentage of alcohol in the fuel from winter to summer. Besides you bought it closing February. And guess what...it was cold contained by February and you still got 19 mpg backbone then. It doesn't enjoy anything to do with the outside temp or the alcohol surrounded by the fuel. Something must not be calibrated properly and you should enjoy it looked at.

Does a Toyota Celica GT-S come contained...

If you drive it very intensely nicely, you may take 20 mpg out of it.

The V6 has pretty poor fuel reduction.

Me again audi TT!?

Answers:    Several reasons for the decline
First most effect is cause by winter fuel and the fact that gas have gotten more expensive both have cause a dramatic increase in amounts of alchohol surrounded by the gasoline.
Alchohol does not burn as hot as gasoline and to provide the amount of power and acceleration your escape needs it requirements to burn more fuel to make that come about.
Second of all the weather have an effect on fuel usage also when it is colder your engine does not warm up as rapid and when that happens your engine uses more have to burn more fuel when engine is cold.
Third when you buy a new vehicle you tend to babe-in-arms it because you dont want to hurt it but as it gets elder and you become familiar beside it you change your driving behaviour,
If your computer has instant fuel reduction you can monitor it and see what I mean. With every embezzle off or acceleration your fuel reduction drops and the harder you accel the lower it goes , in a minute your computer averages those starts and drives between them and the more you are on the pedal the lower the economy.
I suggest you reset the average fuel discount and start it over and then check your mileage
Hope that answers your ask.
