Answers:    The jeep clutch is hydraulic. Either the master cylinder is shot or the stripe has leak out the fluid. If there is no clutch pressure at adjectives this is probably the factor. If it is leaking or have leaked from the front of the tranny the throw out deportment is worn and will have to be replaced.....unless for some bizarre drive the clutch pedal assembly is broken or disconnected,....but highly doubtful.
These parts are sort of cheap to replace if your getting a good deal on the jeep. A total clutch tools should be under 200 bucks and a master cylinder is ??.
I hold had my 88 YJ tranny out rather a few times and have it down to a fine science very soon. If you end up tackle the job yourself email me....I'll offer you some tips.
