How do i know if my transfer case is bleak. The front one sounds like it is making weird noise. First thought it was coming from the wheels. Put adjectives new parts on both sides and still the noise. Noise solely happens when i lock in the front hubs and get worse when i engage the four wheel drive from inside the sports car. The sound seems to be on my right when i am driving. Its resembling a rubbing noise that gets worse contained by four whel drive. help
What new parts did you put on both sides? Have you checked the U-joints at the wheel (and front driveshaft)?
There also should be a bushing where on earth the front axle stub goes through the spindle. This may require some light greasing. Finally, ensure in attendance is sufficient grease on the locking hub parts.

Answers: It sounds as if your Right side axle shaft is not fully engaging when you lock your hubs. It get louder when you engage the transfer grip because now you are putting power to the front axle,and the axle shaft is just spinning and
