has alot of power but refuses to shift gears, could it be a faulty modulator. The engine also idles at 2000 as if a vacuum leach. Could these two problems be related

Answers: Quit fooling yourself and head over to the nearest good nouns shop...might be a bad torque converter..you will need a trans repair.you might bid around to several trans shops and describe your problem and ask for prices...by the way what is that car worth anyhow?
