1998 GMC Sonoma Starting Issues?

I have a 1998 GMC Sonoma.. I tried to start it yesterday morning, and it wouldn't start. The fuel pump wasn't kicking on either. However, today the fuel pump did turn on and it did start. I checked the relay's and everything seem to be in working order. It still give issues now that I'm looking at it, sometimes it starts, sometimes it doesn't.

hello sounds resembling you have possiable wiring problems, first check adjectives of your fuses in the truck and under the hood for blown or cracked fuses (really look upright with a flash light)now check your battery for a correct charge 12.75 volts, then check you connections on the battery terminal product sure no corrossion in between the terminals and cable (just for fun you should pull the cables sour the battery terminals and verbs both cables and battery terminals) subsequent check for lose cables mainly ground cable and also check for corrossion or poor looking rope condition ( pull negtive cable off, follow it to the frame ground and verbs it with a wire brush and do a countinuity check on the cable while it is rotten, (it could be a bad cable) now also if adjectives that check's out good you might have a impossible ingnition switch(sometime's wiggle the key contained by the switch and see if it starts or you hear the fuel pump run. then you know the switch is going bad. if adjectives that does not work you may want to look at your starter and tap it a few time's and make sure no loose cable and the starter has a good ground also check the organize wire to the starter small usually single wire on the silonoid side of the starter clear sure that is connected tight. any factory or aftermarket alarm on this truck?
