i am looking for possible solutions for why it won't start. when you put the keys in, the radio turns on and career lights turn on but it doesn't even try to turn over. it has been cold but today it is almost 30 so i dont regard it could be frozen (but possible??). any other known problems I could look at before getting it towed?? appreciation

Answers: the battery may just be down definite low on it,even almost dead battery will play a radio,you can check the connections tangible good and make sure they are moral and tight,if you still don't find the problem have some one jump start it for you,after you can see if its the battery causing that ,it may basically need replacing,and if its cold, the weather will make it loose power also,cold affects everything,even battery,good luck on it.

There's a few possibilities, but you should check the cheap ones first. Often times, if your battery terminal are dirty or corroded, all your accessories will work, but at hand isn't enough current to turn the starter. Since batteries suffer surrounded by the cold weather, the problems are magnified, because the battery is weaker and it is harder to crank a cold motor because every lubricant under the hood from engine grease to transmission fluid to the lubricants inside the starter itself are cold and just don't want to flow. Take past its sell-by date the battery terminal clamps and clean them. You can start beside a mixture of baking soda and water to dissolve and neutralize all the buildup around the terminal. Then clean the terminals and the clamps near either steel wool, sandpaper, or one of those terminal cleaners you can get at any auto parts store for a couple of bucks. Even for a time corrosion on these surfaces will stop enough current to mimic a dead freestyle. Then, if you have a battery beside caps on top, make sure the dampen level inside is high satisfactory. It must cover the plates inside. There are usually marks or indicators that you need to teem the water up to. Reattach the cables, and if needed, submerge start the car. Let it run a while, and make sure it restarts. Then drive it for a while to attain the battery charged back up. If you are still have problems, then you can check for things like the indistinct switches, alternator issues, wiring problems, etc. However, in my experience, the cheap simple stuff tend to fail more often than the expensive stuff.
