Ever owned one? Have one? What can you tell me about it?
I'm thinking of buying one.
The 2001 GTP has 240 horse stock. and can get up to 29 MPG freeway (that is at 55 mph though.)
I averaged 26 MPG freeway at 75 MPH. and 20 MPG contained by the city. If you are really using the power, and putting you foot to the floor alot, don't be suprised if you get 16 MPG though...
I have a 2002 Grand Prix GT for roughly 8 months now and its great no problems. the only article bad about the GTP model is it simply takes premium gas but if u have the money to put out next i would get it. plus the GTP has more power than the GT, SE models. great coup¨¦ to drive. you'll enjoy it!
Owned 1 nice ride, but brand sure you get extended warrant on it if possible from 1999 to 2004 lots of electronic problems and acquire heavy duty pads for your breaks, besides that`s great ride lots of guts soak up..
All Pontiacs from that era have scandalous window problems.windows coming out of tracks, not going up and down..extremely costly repairs, not to mention some Grand Prixs from that era with bad upper and lower intake numerous gaskets. allowing anti freeze to run out...very costly repair to make.

I had a 99 gt, and have many problems with radio, power window power locks, studs on wheels broke and the whole joystick fell off while driving,I loved the looks of the car it purely had a ton of problems.

Answers: We hold a 2000 GT and a 2004 GT, and a family member have a 2001 GTP. Good, inexpensive, and sporty cars in my opinion. We enjoy had a starter go out and a minor tansmission problem surrounded by our 2000, but no issues otherwise. The family's 2001 GTP has 150K on it with no problems.
