Cruising at 40mph or faster,when I step on the accelerator,the engine races at up to 4000 rpm and take about 10 second to get up to speed.Any thoughts on this?
Answers: Hello! There are several things that could afford you similar symptoms. Trans problems of course, but also fuel filter man plugged up can do it, these should be replaced every 30k miles. Also there be some problems with plugged catalytic converters, this you would perceive more the harder you accelerate. If it's a plugged cat. the factory warranty is longer than on the rest of the saloon, I believe it's 8yr-80k miles.
