I want to get some beefier tires on my truck but I don't want to lift it. I like that stock stance but near beefy tires. I have 15X7 rims, any suggestions on tire sizes, preferably other S10 owners?
Answers: you can stir a size wider and a size taller is about adjectives you can do without shifting wheels taller 195/205/225/ wider 75/70/65/60 one size will not tweaking anything taller or wider two sizes taller might two sizes wider will make tires bulge
I'm assuming it's 4WD, and they come stock beside 235/75/R15. I would find out if 255's will fit...even though that is a wider tire, the "75" would be 75 percent of the 255, not the 235 if you know what I'm discussion about. 235 is the thickness of the tire in millimeters, and the 75 is the percentage of how soaring the sidewall is based on the 235. The same go for the 255. If you get taller tires you'll lose for a while fuel mileage and you should get your speedometer recalibrated for the larger tires, depending on the size you run with. Remember to hang on to your old inspired size tires so that you can get it state inspected, as most states require stock size tires on the vehicle within order to do so. BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO's are an awesome tire for off-road and on-road use beside minimal road noise, as are the different Good Year Wrangler Silent Armor tires (I just picked up a set of the hot Good Years for my Silverado and love them.). Good Luck!
