Hi, I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota 3.9l v6, what kind of octane is better for it! I'm using 93 and I'm not getting dutiful gas mileage, the truck has a brand new full tune up from the broker.
dont waste your money on 93 octane...it will run fine on 87...i hold an 06 dakota with the 4.7 v8...2wd...i get 22 doing a tour...15 around town...i had a v6 one b4 this one and got in the order of the same...

Answers: that truck should run really good on 87 octane if its tuned right,i did own one of those and it always run real good on 87,so you may be putting gas contained by it that it doesn't need,id try a going down to a lower class,it may take a while for you to notice a difference within it ,but it may actually help it some,i never run the dignified octane in any of mine and i own 11 mopars right now,suitable luck on it.,,PS im fixing to be minus 3 of them if the guy buys them ,good luck.on my Dakota i got around 20 adjectives the time which i thought was pretty good for what it be.
