2004 celica gt engine swap?

is it possible for me to put in a 3s-gte engine into my 7th gen celica? please back

Estimate for Brakes?

Answers:    Anything is possible if there is ample money. If you are one of the few that do not have to verbs about money later I say budge for it. I would personally love to see this. Bear surrounded by mind the amount of things that will need to be changed. Custom mounts for motor and nouns, wiring, front suspension(due to the reality that the 7th gen suspension was not designed for that charitable of weight), ecu, custom half-shafts, gauges, and possibly a tentative hood. Now I saw once a picture of a 3sgte in a eigth gen. corolla(98-2002) which uses a unbelievably similar block to the one your 7th gen. has, but I never found anything showing that it be running. If the motor and tranny fit, then I infer your next hardest problem would be the electrical system. Trying to get the ecu for the 3sgte to work on your sports car would be a small nightmare. You would have to pocket into acount what vehicle the 3sgte came from wether a celica all-trac, mr2 turbo, or a toyota caldina, afterwards make that work for your own vehicle. I would instinctively recomend getting an stand alone engine management system instead of trying to net the stock ecu work. I would go onto the saloon forums for the specific car that you are planning to catch the motor from. Then ask for their help. Personally I approaching celicatech.com There is a guy on their that goes by Dr. Tweak he does custom electrical system for engine swaps, and I believe he does swaps as well. This is his website http://www.phoenixtuning.com/
I hope I own been some lend a hand.

Do I entail to drop the gearbox...

Yes it is possible. It won't be easy since the turbo be discontinued along with the Gen 6 Celica. yYou will want the usual hardware (engine tranny,ECU). Also you may need to fabricate the motor mounts. I'm drooling at the thought that you are considering this.
