1.8T Jetta with around 30,000 miles, powerfully maintained. It have a metallic clunking noise coming from the upper plastic timing cover. I am comfortable with engines and it is absolutely not the normal spout or fuel injector noise. The contractor just tries to BS me because they probably don't know what it is. I enjoy heard other 1.8t's run and they do not appear to enjoy this noise. There is also a clunking/ diesel engine nouns when it is in gear (automatic) near your foot on the brake.
Does anyone have any conception what is going on here? Thank you
Answers: Talk to your dealership again, you should still be under the warrenty term and they must take a look at it if i.e. the case. I would expect that something has gotten into the bag, or in worst valise, a tooth from the gears has broken stale. If that is the skin, get it fixed until that time you have catastrophic engine anticlimax. If the dealership does not help out, contact VW directly and explain things to the customer gratification department. Good luck.
the power train warranty is for 5 years or 60k miles. I would not take it spinal column to that dealership but find another in the nouns with perfect techs. You will need to authorize the DIAG. Don't be afraid they will try to panic you, unless you beat on the sports car or modified it, it should be cover unless you are missing maintenance archives. Make sure you have adjectives of them before going. Good luck.
