2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee? A honest SUV?

My 03 Chevy Trailblazer has served me very well, but is starting to fail at 90,000 mi. I be looking at a Tahoe, but don't need th size, the gas mileage is low, and I do not believe it is worth $45,000. I have no use for "status SUVs". The Grand Cherokee seem like a tried and true SUV, and I am purely looking for a basic SUV that give a good ride and can knob the country roads and dirt roads too.

So, I am looking at a Laredo 4x4. Jeep is offering $4,000 cash fund until 10/31, and the local dealer be willing to knock bad another $2,000 (sticker is $30,870 on the last 2007 on the lot), and they will pass me $7,000 for my Chevy (it needs another $1,000+ within work right away, and more is coming, so I am happy beside that trade-in).

I think this is other, but I've never owned a Jeep (my dad owned a Wrangler and a Wagoneer, which I drove), and was wondering if the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 be a good SUV? Calling adjectives Cherokee masters, please give me your experiences and opinion!

Answers:    I am a sales professional at the 2nd largest Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge pusher in the country. Here is some info:

$2000 rotten the sticker is a pretty good price. If you have a Chrysler employee discount, you would reclaim about another $1000-1200, so, not fruitless.

At 22500 miles a year or so, you put alot of abuse on a vehicle, so dont listen to Mr. BMW I LOVE IMPORTS who commented on how great his sisters coup¨¦ is. His sister only puts on 12k per yr according to him(60000 miles on a 02).

You did not mention if your vehicle is a V6 or a V8, but I am guessing from the price its a V6. This vehicle have a full time 4x4 system with no LO gear 4x4. It is not designed to whip on very wide snow or mud or sand. You will want the V8 Laredo with the Quadra Drive system if your country roads are intensely rutted and tough to get thru. This have low range 4x4 mode that will win you thru just almost anything.

The 07 Grand Cherokee was re-designed near a bit more city driving characteristics in 05. It blends deeply of both city and off road aspects. Quiteter, smoother, etc. I resist any import to an sour road competition to see which one can really handle the obstacle it gets face with. Most of them are built individual for the city and cant handle the 4x4 requirements you may need(without upgrading to rotten road packages).

I will state that you do need to be in motion to each hawker and check out all the option. I wont try to tell you which is best or worst. Like introduction owners will...

But again, your price does seem well-mannered. And please buy American. Our quality is recovering, and the imports are getting worse. I give attention to I just saw somewhere that Toyotas talent ratings just took a HUGE hit to the distrustful.

And do the imports hold a LIFETIME (Limited) warranty on their engines, transmissions, and driveline systems? I think not! Chrysler will repair or replace your powertrain for as long as you own your Jeep as long as you own it inspected every 5 years and are the original owner. No deductible. Make sure you do the recommended looking after too.

ENGINE elevated revs?

I used to own a Jeep Grand Cherokee. It actually last me 200k miles and I only have to replace a fuel pump (I've heard others run into the same issue) but that be close to 150k miles so yea, lol. If you read consumer reports, it will say that your trailblazer is one of the worst/least reliable suvs along w/ the jeep. I contemplate this is false due to personal experience
