I have a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix that come with a stock remote starter. The owner's brochure says that the remote start can be programmed to start the aficionado automatically with it, running any the heat or the ac depending on the warmth. The only problem is that no where on earth in the owner's booklet does it tell you how to set it to work! It is really cold, and it would be nice if the remote start within my brand new sports car worked the way.
Pontiac Customer Service can't assist. The dealer is a moron. He is the one who told me to see the booklet on how to program it. Problem is, the display in the sports car DOES NOT containing anything even remotely close to programming?
Suggestions on where to turn, bar customer service and the dealer? Anyone hold a phone number to the actual plant? They built it, so they should be able to fix it!
If you want to roast up your car you necessitate to turn the heat on surrounded by the car in the past you get out.
I don't think this is how it is supposed to work unless they hold changed something in times past year for their entry level cars. Typically on most remote start cars, will will with the sole purpose start with the settings that be on the last time you drove the vehicle. For example, if you had the radiator on when you parked it, the heater would be on when you start it. So you will want to turn it bad with the settings that you want it to start near in the morning.
You will also hold to wait a few minutes for the engine to thaw out up to operating temperature since the car will win warm inside. Usually more or less 10 minutes at idle will do it, otherwise it will blow nought but cold air regardless of the setting.
Answers: Hi! Sorry to hear you are have problems with your G.P.
I checked the service info and didn't find too much within on the proper operation of the HVAC system when using the remote start feature. I did however find a preliminary information document that may serve. The problem is that you will have to travel to the dealer to enjoy them pull it up on their computer and check what option your car have, as operation is different for different HVAC designs. If you decide to impart them another chance, (or find a different dealer) you can ask them to verbs up Document I.D. #2029762. This is a chart that tells what the HVAC system should do at a given exterior heat based on the type of system your vehicle be made with. Hopefully they can later check your vehicle and see if it is doing what it is supposed to be doing or if there is a problem beside the operation.
Hope this helps, obedient luck!
