2001 Ford Taurus Wheel Bearing? Tirod? Please Help..?

While driving my 2001 ford taurus, I noticed, at first, that the passanger side front tire was pulling toward the ride. It kept getting worse and worse until finally it be like the steering wheel have no control of the tire. The tire was moving freely and pulling me all over the road. Now (the motor is parked) the drivers side wheel is straight while the pass side is turned surrounded by at a 35 degree angle. I was told that this be probably a wheel bearing or a front ti-rod.

Is this what is wrong? If so, how much does this rationale to fix and what parts are needed? I don't have much cash and entail to fix it the easiest and cheapest way possilbe. I am stuck 300 miles from home.

Please help..

Which Toyota 4Runner?

1992 Saab Convertible?

it sound to me you need an four joystick alignment which if you take it to a shop that does alignment they will tell you if you stipulation tie rod ends or ball joints it. did you hit anything to perchance bend a tie rod or lower control arm look on the side that is not straight with the steering joystick that will be the damaged side

Would a 2002 muffler assembly fit on...

Answers:    The answer you be given is probably accurate. I would guess a tie-rod, but a wheel bearing is possible. You can call upon the local auto parts for pricing on wheel bearings and tie-rods for your motor, it is the labor that is going to get you if you aren't doing it yourself. I would guess around $150-200, but that depends on where on earth you take it to have it done.

Call some mechanic shops surrounded by your area and they will tell you the approximate cost, but beware that not a soul can actually know what the problem is until the car is put on a erect and looked at.

How do I program my push button...

Lower control arm.

Stand to the side of the car and look at the wheel. If it is the lower control arm, it won't be centered inside the helm well.

Does it get worse when you apply the brakes? Almost similar to when the brakes are applied the car suddenly jerks to the side? If it does, after you know it is your lower control arm.

Prices:

lower control arm = $150-250
bushings = $25-30
labor = $250-400
allignment = $65-100

Not too difficult to replace, but can be time consuming. Couple of hours for a mechanic...1 day for the do-it-yourselfer.

Good luck!

What is the mark of the song...

I would check your tie rod joints. If your deportment goes bad, it usually will grab first (stop turning) or the tire would be tilted. I would not crate the problem you described.

The outer tie rod is about $30. The replacement cost is .3 hours (maybe $30) and one wheel alignment is $80. In adjectives it'll cost between $140 - $160.
