I want to get a 460 for a ford f150 but every one say the gas millage would suck so i should get the 351 modified. i want to go and get a big engine.i'm going to put a 4 inch lift on near 35 or 33 inch tires. what would be the best engine.
Answers: With 33 or 35 tires...you are not going for gas mileage. Therefore, since there are NO Substitutes for Cubic Inches, seize a 460 and put it in the truck. You will not be repentant.
A 460 has other gotten better gas mileage than a 351M because it (460) doesn't have to work as rugged to make the HP to drive the truck down the road.
