I have a 91 camaro drag saloon that hits about 550 horses on motor and have a 250 hp shot of nitrous. I have invested almost adjectives the money I have within the motor Im looking for ideas on a rearend that I can gross fit the car for smaller number than $1000 any ideas would be appreciated.
I agree with both that suggested a 9" Ford, but unless you already hold a 9" housing and you have legally good forgery skills, I seriously doubt that you're going to be able to do it correctly for underneath $1,000. If you're going to go to the time and expense of swapping within a 9", I'd get a bolt-in F-body housing beside new aftermarket differential or spool, gears, and axles. They can be have for a shade under $2,000 beside a spool. You could do it yourself with a junkyard housing, but you enjoy to cut the factory brackets off the 10-bolt and verbs all of them to the 9", consequently fab a torque arm bracket, narrow the housing, and after hope that you got adjectives the brackets welded surrounded by the correct position or your suspension geometry will be totally off. It's seriously easier to buy a complete bolt-in unit and it's really not that much more expensive within the long run.
haha!! cant do it dude! Y would you wanna cut corners similar to that and risk trashing the car and slaughter yourself? That stocker is a 7.5 10bolt s10 rear train and wont handle gob of torque like what your talkin in the region of.

Answers: I'm a Chevy man and i enjoy the same problem near my 1982 camaro . i don't like to influence it but you might have to put a ford 9" within it . if you have a speed shop where on earth you live you might want to ask them how much they will charge to put one in.. i know i can enjoy it done for about 600.00 but close to i said I'm a Chevy man and don't know if i can put any ford stuff on mine..i hope this helps..
