94 Chevy beretta Z26 engine mods?

I'm the proud owner of a Chevy Beretta Z26. It currently has the stock 3100 3.1L V6 within it. I've been thinking of beef'n the motor up and so far ive only read going on for the bigger 3800 engine being a nice upgrade. I'm in fact looking to put something a bit bigger than a v6 in it but im not sure which engines are the easiest to put within without have to do too much modification. I was wondering if anyone know which engine to check out or where i could find some clad info about this (other than the forums, they rob too long)
thanks within advance.

Towing beside Ridgeline RT??

Answers:    Ok, as an owner of a 96 Beretta beside the V6 I will help you out here short giving stupid "junk it!" or "dont even bother!" remarks similar to others will give.

First sour, the 3800 is WAY more work than its worth. You have to revise all the mounts, integer out the wiring etc. Everyone that have done it says they would not do it again. You are much better going for a 3400 out of a GM minivan, Impala, Grand Am etc. The horsepower differences between those vehicle is due only to the computer tuning of specific vehicle, so putting one surrounded by your beretta will net give or take a few 170-175 crank hp. A 3400 is pretty much a plug and play with singular a few mods that are really simple, but since you are OBD1 and Im OBD2 i couldnt tell ya what they are. All of the engine mounts should be like. Going with a V8 would be a ridiculous amount of work, not to mention getting a RWD motor to fit surrounded by a FWD bay.

Secondly, if you turn with a 3400, you can use adjectives the mods that are out there for the 3100 you currently enjoy such as underdrive pulleys, throttle bodies, alternator pulleys, etc. MRZ has a unharmed bunch of parts for berettas, and can be found at http://mrzperformance.vstore.ca/ .

Seriously though, to get the benevolent of info you are looking for you are going to have to be in motion to a forum where relations have experience beside the vehicles. I am a extremity of http://www.bstuff.com , and Im sure it would help you greatly. Just be sure to use the explore button at the top.
