I was wondering if here is anything differnt as far as lenth or size between a left and right cv combined on 4wd 94 full size blazer. I know that the right side is starting to go and I call for to change it. The other problem is that I live surrounded by Japan and getting parts is not so easy and Ive come across a used gone cv and wondering if it will fit on the right side. Hope you can help
Answers: I own a shop, and to gain creative is what you will have to do. If in that are difference in the length, doesn't anticipate you couldn't use the parts to make a honest one with. Many CV-Joints are not desperate just because they pop, but can be repaired beside some grease, and another boot to keep the grease contained by it. If you purchase the used one, this might give you the parts you stipulation to repair yours with. The solitary difference is in the length, the rest is impossible to tell apart, and could be used to resolve the problem. Plastic wire ties come contained by real handy when putting the boots final on. They may not hold as well as a metal clamp would, but they will work. Use two on respectively if you can. They are pretty tricky to get apart, and vertebrae together as the snap ring that holds it in place can be a material pain surrounded by the neck, but you can do it if you cart your time. If a boot is dried out, it can be made more flexible with WD-40, and easier to work near. CV joints own been around since WW-2, and never used boots wager on then, but they sure popped profusely until someone figured out they could be made to run inactive by using a boot with grease. Popping doesn't aim they are worn out, so you may want to consider making one up from the two of them, and use the best parts out of all of it.
