i have a 95 integra gsr..and the idling is up and down from 1 to 3 rpm's even when its warm up...there is this hole on top of my throttle body that looks approaching it originally had a vaccum on it and its now plugged up...could my idle problems be offset timing or something else?

First permit me say I hope you stated your question wrong. If your motor idles 1-3 rpm up and down , not to worry. But if you are saying1000-3000 next there is a small problem.
The port you are referring to does not have a vacuum to it. Unless it be plugged up with something like silicon or some other substance.
For a engine to surge as you are saw is not normal.
What happens when you drive does it serge when driving?
here is a device called a throttle position sensor.
If it ig oing nuts it will tell your cars computer it cant find the right place to set and the unemployed goes up and down.
You also did'nt say if the service engine lighting was on or not.
So what do you do? come back here beside if the light is on and if it goes up and down when you drive and agree to us know

If there are no codes try cleaning the throttle body and generate sure the accelerator cable has a bit of free play. A sticking EGR valve will also bring a bad idle.
Answers: ok sounds like a vaccume problem follow this steps; 1. put your finger where on earth the hole is while the car running if it sucks it in theres your problem. any plug it or find the loose hose. 2. theres a sensor called AICV(air idle control valve) its located surrounded by back of your intake manifold. remove it, theres 2 holes one is amenable another has mesh, clean it next to brake clenear try not to use carb cleaner it might eat up the little gaskets.ohh this sensor also has 2 hoses next to anti-freeze. if you want add a little gasket architect to seal it good. 3.it might be a busted intake several gasket so get some started fluid and while your engine is cold and running spray a little where on earth the intake manifold and head bolt on together. if you thought a diference like revs go high than normal it means its the intake compound gasket. do this only when engine is cool down since starting fluis is highly flamable. 4. after finding your problem fix it remove any code from your computer by removing the fuse for the clock for just about 1-2 minutes or just unplug the battery. if you unplug the freestyle your original acura stereo might get surety lock.

Its any a gasket problem, manifold, or the censor in the backbone, this happen to me, best thing is to clutch it to a Pro, have them fix it so you wont run into major problems.Looking to put a cycle rack on...
