Has new thermostat and antifreeze. The calculate will suddenly just drop to bottom (C), consequently will move up to half-way point.
The problem is the temp. comp. board on the back of the instrument cluster. Not complicated to change but more after I'm willing to type right very soon.
If the coolant was freshly changed, it's more likely that there's nouns in your cooling system, and the gauge/sensor are probably fine. With the vehicle running and the car at operating heat, open the bleeder tap until a steady flow of coolant comes out (instead of a burbly mixture of coolant and air).
But be careful! The coolant will, unsurprisingly, be hot.
