I'm seriously considering converting my car to biodiesel. I've hear it can usually be done with just a few hundred dollars in parts. I hold a few questions, though.
*Should I expect the advantage of my car to increase, drop off, or stay the same from this operation?
*Does anyone know where on earth I can find a guide for converting this particular motor?
*Can any of you give insight as to how easy/difficult it is to refuel near biodiesel in Kansas, and the approximate cost?
Thanks contained by advance.
You don't convert a car to biodiesel. You in recent times pour it in and shift. Any diesel will run on it. You might have to run through a few fuel filters at first. Bio tend to clean profoundly of crud out of fuel systems at first.
Forgetaboutit.
First - your motor has to already be a diesel motor. Otherwise you need adjectives new engine, etc.
Second - most relatives running biodiesel are actually making their own from dissipate cooking oil from restaurant. You will obligation 50 gal drums installed in your vehicle for collection. Then you have to purloin the oil to your barn and "process it". Not a difficult process but it is still not as simple as pulling up and nourishing it.
It is currently NOT a good preference.
Good Luck.
