Hello, everybody!
I have BMW 523i, E39, 1996. My accumulator is totally down and I am almost to buy the new one.
Here is the grill: in my weak accumulator it's only say that it's 640A. It's not indicated wheather starter is 65, 70, 75 or 100. So, which one fits better and will last longer contained by my case? Also, which brand is better to buy?
Accumulator is located surrounded by the trunk, on the right.
Best regards,
Thank you
Vadim
Answers: Batteries (not "accumulator") are rate by group size, Amps, and Cold Cranking Amps (CCA).
I'm not sure which country you're from but guessing from your English, you probably do not stay in the US. Generally, you should know how to fit the right battery from any place that sell them. Or, if you want to be safe, step back to your BMW service center.
Battery brands are particularly different from country to country. For example, the popular US brands like "Duralast", "Die Hard", "Everlast", "Interstate", "Kirkland" or "Motorcraft" are adjectives unavailable outside of the US.
Generally, honourable global brands include Bosch, Varta, Exide, Hoppecke...etc. But there're other right regional brands too such as "Lucas" (UK) or "Panasonic" (Asia).
Your best bet is just to check near your local battery shop and ask for guidance. Read the article below for general information on choosing a freestyle.
