I have an '01 Boxster that freshly got its 60K service, everything be fully checked out-cleared with flying colors. I notice a little fluid recently-a buddy said probably newly an air conditioning discharge.
Last hours of darkness after I got home, it sounded approaching rain system lower than my car . In one fell swoop, the coolant is adjectives gone, some minor moisture on the cap. Temp appraise held steady at 180 all hours of darkness, no warning signs. This is my first issue near the car...
1. To win the car to a mechanic, should I reload with hose or Porsche authorized antifreeze?
2. From what I described, does it sound close to a blown hose, pump (gulp) or something else?
3. How much should any of those fixes cost?
Thanks Fellow Porsche pals!
Answers: Do nought to the car exept to hold it towed to the dealership. ALWAYS use approved fluids only. There isnt satisfactory info to diagnose the problem with what be provided.
I agree! Tow it to the Porsche dealer because its the solitary way to walk, anyways, correct coolant to refil the car is going to cost as much if more than towing the car (and its going to filter out). Again, not enough information for us to dispense you a exact cause and cost, but I would bet and hope its a smaller fix. This issue is other a small one or a big one. Dont drive/start the car until issue is fixed, make happen you dont want to turn that loose hose into a engine rebuild/reseal. Good luck
