i have one i know mopar hade a 340 but also did GM and i was wndering if any one have one and had a 1965 skylark and what the specs were one the motor so dont influence gm didnt make a 340 cause i enjoy one and no for a fact it is a 340

your right they did back in 65, 66, 67 within the skylark GS and I can remember driving a 67 GS with the 340 at the repair shop where i be working at the time, I don't remember the specs on the engine but this one had a dual snorkel air cleaner on it beside the ram air hood and a powerglide 2 speed tranny, it be a sharp looking car but it didn't run that good compared to some of the other elevated performance cars that I drove back afterwards that came into the shop.

Answers: One of my uncles had a 65 Skylark convertible near a 340. Yes, they did make them. Ran great too. Sure wish I have that car now!
