Without it causing problems? I be driving on the hill trailing my house and i hit a boulder that knocked the stabilizer lump of one side of my car! Can I pilfer it off or do i have need of to get it repaired?
Answers: It would be foolish not to hold it repaired. The sway or sometimes called anti roll pole is designed to increase roll stiffness around turns and even bumps and improve handling and stability. While you may not catch sight of the difference without the sway dowel around gentle turns or at really low speeds, at higher speeds you'd mind it for sure as the vehicle will become far less stable and touch "tipsy". In fact, the after souk has have kits that include larger diameter bar to improve roll stiffness for years. It's stress cannot be overstated.
The sway bar would not be in that if it was not unbelievably important to the safekeeping of the auto (Volks) in this travel case. Have it replaced with a up to date one, do not try to fix any bent or broke auto part, it is a most important safety concern! From experience, I hold foolishly attempted to do just that and it come back to retreat me. I was driving my 1969, 426 hemi Cuda convertible next to Jimmy Spencer, Dale Earnhardt and George " The Duke" Kent from Elmira, NY to Oswego Speedway when I hit a piece of iron in the road on Rt. 13 head for Ithaca, NY...well we stopped and I needed to have it looked at, Jimmy Spencer " Mr. Excitment looked lower than the car and said, Hell, it looks ok to me, Dale Earnhardt looked beneath the car and said, it be not even worth pitting for and George "The Duke :" Kent said, if I was not competent to drive the car, he would for me. So, we disappeared and it was not long formerly we were stale the road airborne, higher than the cellular phone poles, barrel rolling down a double set of railroad tracks! This happen in 1988 and neither of them have had anything to do beside me since as they said I was a piss-poor driver and they could no longer swing out with such a non-talented driver! So, I would achieve that sway-bar checked!
