Car problems?

I have a 1996 Ford Areo Star van automatic. A 15amp fuse blows every time you put it in park. And when the fuse is blown at hand is no brake lights and it won't come out of park. What should I do??

1997-2001 Honda Prelude Automatic: are they reliable?

Which fuse is it? Check along that circuit for an exposed wire or a connection within the steering column that causes the fuse to blow.
There is a short circuit. More likely surrounded by the brake light harness or bulb receptacle. Check these out and clean thoroughly. Water, rust, and ascend can all conduct electricity and blow the fuse.

What are your thoughts more or less...

Where can I find front hood springs...

Answers:    There is a mechanism inside the column or console near the shift lever which have an electromagnetic coil on it. Ever wonder what that clicking is when you press the brake?
When you press the brake this coil energizes and relases the locking mechanism so you can shift from park.
The coil is probably shorted out and is most likely cause the blown fuse. Seeing as the mechanism only works when within park that is why the fuse only blows surrounded by park.
Take it in and have a strange shift lock put in.

you need to check the fuse box to manufacture sure their isn't a naked wire except then check to make sure here is no moisture getting into the light it self, then if that's not the shield check the wiring behind the lights.
if to be exact not the case you will need a electrician to look at it.
it sounds to me approaching your not getting ground somewhere that's what usually causes a fuse to keep blowing.

I longing you look.

What is your opioion of the 2006...

There is a short or exposed wire i.e. either arcing or touching metal. Find it and you found the problem.
