If you have a 5 speed jump ahead and try to roll the car and pop the clutch cause it nouns like the starter you got is no apposite. You could also take 2 wires from your battery one on the negitive and one possitive and hook them straight to the starter and see if you can seize it started that way it will also tell you if the starter you replaced is desperate just make sure your saloon is in park/nuetral with the e-brake up so you dont win ran over
If the starter turns the motor the starter and battery are OK, if it doesn't the there's stilla problem at hand
Next you check the fusible links to make sure power is getting to the car from the mobile.. turn on the lights if they don't work it's a fusible link.
Check spark at a plug by disconnecting a plugwire and see if you get spark by holding it subsequent to the plug.. yes it can shock you..
If you're getting spark then it's probably a fuel problem.

Answers: You need to see if you own power to the starter. You can use an inexpensive test lamp to see if you enjoy 12v at the starter solenoid when the key is turned to the start position. have a friend turn the switch while you test for power at the starter
if you don't have power to the starter the problem is usually near the starter relay in the main underhood relay. you should know how to hear the relay "click" when the ignition key is turned to start position (have a friend turn the key while you listen at the fuse box). If its not the principal relay it can be caused by a neutral safekeeping switch on the transmission range selector for an automatic nouns or at the clutch pedal if the car is a manual nouns
If the car is a manual nouns you need to be sure that the clutch pedal is pushed down. Try to push start the car surrounded by Neutral-- If the car startes with a push start consequently there is a bad clutch switch at the top of the clutch pedal to be precise preventing power from going to the starter.
If the car is automatic and it won't start in Park, try starting it contained by Neutral. You may have a bad indistinct safety switch or range selector switch surrounded by the transmission gear selector that is preventing the coup¨¦ from starting in Park
hope that helps
