My beater 1990 BMW 318i has cause me no problems in the 6 months I've have it. Then when I tried to start it when it was low on gas, it wouldn't start. I assumed it lately needed gas so I put in 10 liters (I'm stationed surrounded by Germany now). Still didn't worlk. Someone suggested I check the spark plugs and replace the fuel filter. I couldn't find the sparkplugs, so I changed the fuel filter. With the help of A LOT of starter spray within the air intake, the engine started up but like greased lightning died?
Anyone know what is wrong with my vehicle?
Answers: I think you own air surrounded by your fuel lines after you changed out your filter. The stalling should go away after you tolerate the lines fill up next to fuel.
